you almost have to expect that, Jeremy. annoying for sure. if you really want something, don't tip off your intentions..start low and then put in your best bid near the end..forget the last ten seconds..too much tension..

i have received both models and they look pretty good. the one kit from modelhaus has better chrome. the tail lights, grill and bumpers are seperate chrome pieces where the other kit has the tailights and grill molded in creme colored plastic that has to be painted silver. i'll send pics when im done.

I've got a dozen emails back and forth with Don about this; sometimes his reply is kind enough, like above, other times it's more like "get outta my face". A deluge of email could persuade him, I guess, or it could just p*ss him off. Dunno... I hope it works! I'll buy one, if he makes 'em.

OK Dan, You can order your hardtop kit. I have just made the body mold for the 59 Plymouth 2 dr hdtp. The price will be $90.00 for the complete kit. The body will be like our cv body in that the front bumper and grille has been turned into three separate pieces. I don't know when we will get the kit listed online but you can still order one if you want to order thru the mail. S&H would be $10.00

I asked about payment options:
Don Holthaus wrote:A check will be fine. All orders take 4-6 weeks to ship so a check will have plenty of time to clear. You can tell your freinds to just do what you are doing or to wait till we have the kit listed online. Thanks for passing the info.

I'm ordering mine this weekend! Here's the website:

Here's where to send your check:

Address : THE MODELHAUS 5480 Traughber Road Decatur, IL 62521-8800

Ho! another project for the winter!
The Autohaus website has only one photograph, so it is impossible to know what you're buying. Similar to the original promo models, says Don. I will be interested in following this thread.

The kit arrived... Now, I suppose I'll have to build it! Look at all those pieces parts... How can I stall this.

I know! I'll give to to Marie, to give to me as a Christmas present! That's good for another three months...
