Scale models possible 3D printed?
Scale models possible 3D printed?
Hi everyone!
I do not own a 3D printer and scoured the web for anyone who has made a scale model. Sure I can find a scale "Christine", but that's not how our car looks!
Has anyone tried to get a scale model of thier own car?
Has anyone got any information on this?
I'd be willing.to pay.
Cheers!

Hi Mike,
It's a running joke for me at Carlisle; I go into a seller's tent and ask the guy if he has any '59 Plymouths. "No, but I have a '58 Christine..." (!)
They are hard to come by. Modelhaus, now out of business, made both a convertible and hardtop Sport Fury; you'll pay several hundred dollars for one now. Occasionally, you'll see an antique Palmer kit on eBay (I think there might be one on there now), but again, very expensive.
A cheaper route would be to get a "White Box" model, 1/43 scale. Here's a picture of one owned by Ron Keij:
There are some of these for sale now on eBay, and while the body is that of a '59, the color scheme is that of a '58. Easily remedied, though, if you're gonna repaint as Loretta! Here's the link. Try googling "white box 59 plymouth", though, and you might get lucky.

"If it's new, Plymouth's got it!"
