Tires
Tires
Can modern street tires like Toyo Tires' be used in vintage cars like the '59 Plymouth Fury?
Re: Tires
Sure! Although, if whitewalls are a consideration, that may limit your options.

hi dan,
on paper, a 7.5x14, and F78-14, and a 205/75/14 are the "equivalents" but each is slightly different, the 205 being the smallest. the sport fury should have 8.00x14 i thought? in 57 and 8 furys had either 8.00 or 8.20s
anyway, the size i recommend is a 215 75R14.... but... theyre slightly more $ as they are less common, the 205 is fine, i've used them on my cars, the 215 is just preferrence. if you can, they make a 225 75 r14, that's the EQ in reality size to an H78-14, which is the bias size i like to run, at 28" tall

Re: Tires
They can be used for sure!
I’ve got diamondbacks on mine and they are new Toyo’s with the whitewall vulcanized to the tire
