Windshield wiper motor

Post by vic barone »

Howdy

Has anyone bench tested a windshield motor before. Just want to make sure it works before putting it back in the car
I believe it's a 2 speed wiper motor

Cheers

Vic, I did before installation in my convert by using the wiper switch and wiring harness hooked up to the wiper motor and then hooking up my 12V battery charger to power it up at the switch and then operated the motor switch to make it go thru its motions.

Then after installed in the car and before i put in the inside cabin heater box I checked it again by the same method to do a final check of Switch and/or motor. And then a third time thru with the car battery installed in the car and then thru the complete car wiring harness with ignition switch on yet again to test. Then I put the inside cabin heater box in.

Cheers John

I will dig out the wiring harness and give it a go

Hope the cleaning and painting it hasn't gone to waste
