230 flat head no compression after way long sleep...Cause?
Re: 230 flat head no compression after way long sleep...Caus
Don't cha know...the hot new collectibles are "original, non-restored" cars! and most, if not all, of us are tinkerers, ready and willing to admire and possess a barn-find! Bring on the patina!

I can't wait to see pics of your Savoy. Your car sat 10 years longer than my Belvedere. I love my rust spots, oh, I mean Patina!!!!!

It took me some time to learn the procedure.
The FIRST thing I had to find is the Upload Attachment icon!
When you begin to compose a post, take a second to scroll down from the whiteboard to the blueboard. Right there it says Upload attacment. Follow mark's directions on what to do next.

Mark - A couple of tips. I don't know about other computers but on mine I had to create an Attachment Folder on my Desktop then drag my pictures to that folder. Any script or descriptions I type in I click on "Save draft" because if I don't wait at least 60 seconds before I click on "Add the file" I lose everthing. So click on Uploat attachment, then Browse to find your attachment folder, then douple click on your picture, then click on Add the file. At that time you can type in any description you want to the picture. If you are really confused now I did my job. heh, heh.

That's a pretty good explanation, Dick.
With my computer, I learned to first put my memory card into my computer.
Then I go to Post or Reply to Post on the 59Plymouth site.
I click on Upload Attachment, Browse for the most recent photo on Drive F and click on it, then Add File.
Someday the technology will get easier.
My 16-yr old daughter takes pix w/ her iPhone and sends them to my simpler phone, but my phone screen is too small to see detail; she can also send pix to my desktop computer. Amazing stuff.

Looks like a pretty decent Savoy, Mark!
A few years ago I had bought a '57 Plaza 2-door sedan, that had less than 40,000 miles on the clock. It too, was parked because of a bad three speed. I replaced the trans, and it's now at a new owner's home in Germany.

I hope it was our collective advice and directions that got you to sucessfully post that photo. If not, well, you are one determined individual...which is good, because you're repairing a 54-yr old car.
