Ask that vendor that if we get a couple more orders put together if it will be cheaper. I can send mine in too with yours and we may get a price break if he can do them all at once.

Mark, you are coming to Carlisle this summer aren't you? You can make a stop in Johnstown when you are on your way to Carlisle :) It is about time to make hotel reservations, the official 59 Plymouth hotel is the Best Western in Mechanicsburg.....

John,

You can deliver your wheel when you drive to Carlisle too, meet Mark and make it a convoy to the fairgrounds.

I had two sport wheels done by Koch's in southern California, recast with clear ring and colored grips. The cost was $600 apiece, but would have been $650 with only one recast. This was aboout six months ago.

Thanks John! I thought there was another place to get this done with, I need to get some of the Turquoise material for the center area to be recovered in. But Koch's sounds much more reasonable to use.

NO! You cannot order a deluxe horn ring "re-cast" in urethane! interesting concept, though. :D And no, they do not supply horn rings...they only re-cast steering vintage wheels.
The horn ring is made of the mysterious pot-metal...I really dont know what potmetal is, but it must have been cheap and easy to cast. It does develop pits due to internal mis-match of ingredients, or so I've been told.
John Fowlie, thanks for supporting my memory that a re-cast steering wheel did not cost me $1500-2000!
