Power steering interchange and install
I'm thinking about adding power steering to my 59 Suburban. I've read some pro's and con's about doing it, so I'd like to hear any thoughts you all might have about changing from manual to power.
Also, there must be several year models/makes that would work in my Suburban so let me know if you have interchange information too.
OH......and what all will it take to do the change? Like......will I need to change the pitman arm? Etc?
Thanks, Ron

Trouble removing the pitman arm? I think you use a "pickle fork", basically a long rod with a "U" shaped wedge at one end. Loosen the retaining nut, and place the fork at the point where the arm fits over the threaded bolt, and start hammering.
A little heating with torch can't hurt.

Rent a pitman arm puller from your parts house and follow the instructions.
