Life in Mudville

Post by Steve Storey »

Ouch-2nd 100 year flood in 5 years. Poured the water out of the computer and darned if it doesn't work. My luck must be changing. All my old cars were high and dry. To topit off got mauled by my friend "Bruiser" a local ferral cat and finaly relented and went to the er berfore blood poisoning set in. I was pushing the procastenation thing. Suppose i should move to higher ground. Life is great if you don't weaken.

Hang in there, I have never had to experience the type of flooding/mud you have. high water has taken purchase on countless fortunes and lives. Thank God you are a survivor! Keep going and don't give up. Our thoughts are with you.

Steve, glad that you are OK! I can't even imagine how bad it must be having a 100 year flood again  I have been following the news about all the floodings after a few hurricanes bringing so much rain to the area. There is a Dutch couple that moved to Oneonta NY to run a motel and after years of work it was almost done. And now they can start all over again :( Moving to higher ground sound sensible but I don't know, we have been living below sea level all our lives.......... Maybe we should all move to Colorado 8)

Surprisingly, we do have flooding here in Colorado during the spring run off of winter snow. But that is mostly in the mountain towns and only in certain areas. Very little flooding here in Denver or the front range area.

Just ton's of Sunshine! 8)

House and property mostly free of mud, managed to dry out water htr, furnace and think i can get central air working. Things are looking up, but my neighbors are busy erecting for sale signs. Fortunately my shop was spared mother's wrath!! Its 5 miles upriver and was high and dry, thank god! Off to Carlisle this wkend to exchange rear bumpers for the Plym.A much needed respite.
