Re: Steves New Convertible Project
Hi Curt-Its on Homberg Avenue and the couple I purchased it from bought it a few years ago from a neighbor and never got it running. They thought simply because something is broken in the switch. My hope is there isn't also a rod protruding from the block. We'll see said the blind man-but I couldn't resist.

Re: Steves New Convertable Project
The new convertible finally showed up. Needs floors, trunk-boot as they say, gas tank, ign switch etc etc. Hope to have it purring like a kitten soon. Its actually maybe in better shape than I thought. Picture to follow.

Steve,
I am glad it made it to your home safely. Now the fun begins - searching out all the little problems that could keep it from running. Keep us up-to-date on your progress.

Will try to upload some pictures, but am still very upload challanged to say the least-been battling the rust worms. Replaced trunk floor, gas tank, and drivers floor and got it running really well I think, but time to back it out and work on a MOPAR!!

Got it back in the garage. You guys got me motivated again. Replacing metal on passenger floor and stripping it down for paint. I'm going to attempt 2 stage paint for first time. Of course much more rust wormy than first thought!! Dick and John -your projects look great!!

Toss out the MoWog Engine and adapt a Neon 2liter and the thing will run like a time machine. A friend of mine did this with his bug eye and they wont let him race with them any more. Because he aways wins.

Ho Ho Ho! Aren"t the Neons front wheel drive though? Did he put the whole clip under his Sprite? Got to be an easier way to go fast.

The engine was mounted longitudinal to the chassis adapted to a I think a NP2500 aluminum 5 speed and still rear wheel drive!
