57-8 Service manual now in Gallery

Post by rogerh »

Any sort of reply to Faulkner's announcement that the Service Manual was now online has been blocked at the location of that announcement. While I think this is fine...keeps that messageboard clear of wandering comments!...it leaves me no good place to applaud the HUGE effort it took to copy and put up 500+ pages!

Should you wish to make such an effort again, there awaits the 1959 Mopar Passenger Parts Book (~550 pages). This book has supplied me with invaluable info over the years, and has allowed me to help others in their parts searches.

Right-O, Roger! There's also the collision guide, a somewhat condensed version.

Fortunately, I had the Service Manuals already on CD - I simply hacked them up. Scanning the parts and collision guides - well, that's not for the feint of heart. But perhaps it will happen yet!

Oh yeah, you have reminded me that the 57-8 SM was out on CD. Someone must have had access to some top-quality office scanner (and had to pull apart their SM!) to achieve this.
If I were to sacrifice the binding of my Parts Book, do you suppose I could take it to Office Depot or similar and have them put it on CD? Maybe there are copyright issues?
