Feb 3 Old Cars Weekly

Post by Steve Storey »

Noticed an interesting article on Richard Burdick's SF. I'd run into him with his great car a few years back as had Dan. He's the guy with a 3 speed O/D , 318 car he'd ordered from the dealer. His daughter had been born and married in the car!! We'll have to seduce him into joining our group. I'll work on him if I run into him again.

Can you scan and post the article, Steve? If not, perhaps I'll try to track it down.

Weird... The max file upload is 1/3 a GB (to allow for large movies - see the administrative control panel, below). Dunno what's going on! What's the extension of the file type you are creating - .bmp, .pdf?

Perhaps you could mail it to devnull at 59sportfury dot net, and I could try to play around with it....

Dan wasn't sure what you meant about the mail address?? So sent you in a missive to your upenn address. Noticed the msg about being oversize said it exceeded 2 MiB vs 2mb. perhaps significant?

2MiB means 2 million, versus mega; a kilobyte is 1024, a megabyte is 1024x1024. Not a substantial difference between the two.

Did you send one attachment at a time? The limit on my upenn mailbox is 10MB per message.

Steve, you are quite right! The "document" category had a 2 MiB restriction - now 10 MiB. And I added rtf as an acceptable extension. Can you give it one more try? If it works, I'll convert to .pdf and edit your post.

Thanks
Dan

Well, it's almost there, Steve! I looks, however, that your scanner program did OCR (Optical Character Recognition) on some of the text, and didn't quite get it right.

So, I'll take you up on your offer to mail it to me! If you do, I'll scan it immediately and return to you.

I'll PM you with my address. Thanks!
