59 Plymouth Jack
Re: 59 Plymouth Jack
Apparently, Chrysler used different suppliers of the bumper jacks depending upon the plant where the car was assembled, the jacks I find in the western cars are different than the jacks that came with eastern built cars.
This was common practice with Ford as well. There are actually three factory supplied jacks for the '57 Mercury, all completely different.
The western plant jacks I come across are like Tom Fox describes.

Re: 59 Plymouth Jack
Congratulations on getting to the bottom of this mystery1 Quite a revelation to learn that Gary modified a Chry/Des sheet to sell to Plym owners.
Tom Fox showed me how he stored his jack post and hook, laying them in the driver's well. The base went upside down on the spare tire, with anchor bolt running thru the base.
Not perfect, but functional.
