Well with the rebuilt booster , accoutrement's, pedal mechanism installed and working great I guess this project can be put to bed. It Works and my only misgiving is the duster master cylinder is a bit too high and the retainer bail impinges on the leading edge of the booster. I could have called it quits with the disk brake conversion as Roger , at AAJ Brakes, recommended. I was seduced by the bellows booster and have to admit it is sexy. I survived one more extensive and grueling under dash install replete with ruptured oil line to the oil Gage-took awhile to figure out it was engine oil not brake fluid with my limited eye sight-replaced w/copper line-as it should have been in the first place~!! Thanks Roger and John Fowlie. Will try a photo or two.
Must freshen up the engine bay
I had the same trouble with the oil pressure gauge hose in my '58 Dodge. None of the tractor or hydraulic shops could make up a replacement, so I opted for using copper as well. It has worked well for the last two years now.
