Re: My Kingdom for Interior Paint Chips (or shell green samp
Roger: I'm a firm believer in "the only dumb question is the one that goes unasked. :) I don't think the paint chip charts would fade nearly as bad sitting in a drawer somewhere as compared to parts that get a lot of UV sunlight. My friend and I pulled a dashboard recently and I couldn't believ...

Re: My Kingdom for Interior Paint Chips (or shell green samp
Both are good ideas John and Roger. The garnish molding is actually Festive Green, and basically the package tray (that I apparently am going to have to make myself) and radio speaker grille. Maybe Big M can come up with one of those in the right color, but even if so it will have no doubt faded con...

My Kingdom for Interior Paint Chips (or shell green sample)
I'm beginning to think none of these exist anymore, and am hoping someone can prove me wrong. The exterior chips are plentiful but I haven't been able to find any for the interior after searching for a couple of months now. I have two colors to match up on a Belvedere project car: Festive Green (Pol...

Re: Deluxe steering wheel sparkles? + vendors (last gasp)
Thanks John. I just got an email from Koch's and they said they don't have the mold, so being the persistent cuss that I am, I asked if they would mind telling me where it went........

Re: 59 Belvedere driver side trim/pushbutton knobs/dual ante
That would be great, Dick. I rechecked the driver side again and all of the lower stainless trim I have is in good shape. I would like to replace all 4 pieces of the upper stainless trim (but could live with the rear fender piece I already have). As for the middle anodized aluminum, I think I only n...

Deluxe steering wheel sparkles? + vendors (last gasp)
First question: did the original deluxe steering wheels have sparkles in the resin? Second question: Not being a very smart guy, I started with one of these steering wheels/horn rings that needs restored, and in my travels over the last few months have now ended up with three (and need to have at le...

59 Belvedere driver side trim/pushbutton knobs/dual antennas
I'm restoring a 1959 Belvedere 4-door sedan and am looking for: 1. Driver side exterior trim. I would consider buying the whole side if you have it, but here is what I am lacking: - Upper stainless trim front fender front door - Middle trim (stamped anodized aluminum) front fender front door - Lower...

Re: 59 Belvedere pushbuttons and defroster outlet bezel
Thanks Dick, I had forgotten about Freeman's Auto. You too, Roger. I know you fellas are partial to the SF, and I appreciate your help on the restoration of its "uglier sister." I say that because I have run into a lot of people who are naysayers in varying degrees, some of whom outright a...

59 Belvedere pushbuttons and defroster outlet bezel
I'm just starting my first restoration project after finally being able to bring home a '59 Belvedere I purchased several months ago. It is complete from what I can tell so far, but I will likely be posting here as things move along. I know I'm going to need to replace the pushbuttons for transmissi...

Re: NICE SPORT FURY ON EBAY.
I know far too well that there is no substitute for one's own experience when it comes to these kind of things, Dick. I do find comfort in hearing from long-timers such as yourself, though, and I do so enjoy your witty banter. When it comes to '59 Plymouths, there is no substitute for the SF, that i...

Re: NICE SPORT FURY ON EBAY.
Wow, Dick. An original SF steering wheel with almost all the resin still on it?????? :o Oh yeah, the car. As a newbie, I learned very quickly that your name is synonymous with SF expertise :ugeek: and with the forum generally. So, when you use the adjective "nice" in your subject line, I n...

Re: Photos of Benny Buckner's '59 Sport Fury for sale
Just trying to help the forum out with the photos. I just can't see paying $1,200 for a friggin' recast steering wheel....... a steering wheel for Christ sake. I have been helping old ladies across the street for a few weeks now but still no karma good enough to find what has eluded me thus far. :x

Photos of Benny Buckner's '59 Sport Fury for sale
Since Mark's post on April 15th has 252 views regarding several cars for sale by Benny Buckner, I thought I would do this in a new topic since a lot of those folks probably aren't following Mark's thread at this point. Roger posted that photos would have been a "massive help", and I just o...

deluxe steering wheel/horn ring wanted
I'm looking for a deluxe steering wheel/horn ring for a 1959 Plymouth (mine is a Belvedere). I could possibly use either the wheel or horn ring separately. I could trade in the old one but just can't afford a recast (first project car for a married man who wants to stay that way).
Thanks,
Jim

Thanks,
Jim
