That is a 1962 318 poly....the original engine was also a 318 but switched to later model due to compatibility issues with the a518 (46rh) transmission. It was originally a 3 sp manual with or but the od was shot so went with the 518 od..... By the way still have the 59 318 engine if anyone interest...

John - It's stamped 2.93 both of my other ones are stamped 3.13. Dick. Where on rear end is that stamped? Is it on the big circular gear in the axle or on the face of the pinion there. That is one area I have not openend up yet. The Suburban is supposed to be 4.11 but it has the electric overdrive ...

So portland swap meet was yest and a friend who is restoring the last part of my 53 chevy conv calls and found
a "dual intake manifold poly a 318"
at the meet.

Building a powdercoating oven to do the larger parts inner fenders seats etc. It is almost done so can get to work cleaning those up. Fabric came in from SMS so ready to go on that, and wiring harness is here...now all i nee...

I used an aftermarket wiring system similar to but not from painless, Worked pretty good when done...Did have a issue when I converted to Alternator and switched to Mopar Electronic ignition but finally when I was at wits end some Mopar friends (one being Mopar Ricky) helped with getting it buttone...

OK so here is where im at: It became apparrent that the electircal would need to be completely redone due to the heat the burb was exposed for all those years. So interior came out to get redone, then the rust floor got cut out, then the dash was removed, then the front clip and as soon as my cherry...
