Re: Front suspension rebuild
I rebuilt my front end 3 months ago along with the lower bushings. Paint a line across the end of the bushing shaft in line with the cotter pin so when you torque the nut you know where to line it up. Bend the cotter pin in the shape of a banana, Use a long pair of needle nose pliers and insert it. ...

1959 Suburban 2 Door
I have been given the opportunity to purchase a 1930 Indian 4 cylinder from a long time friend. Unfortunately it is a wreck. He was hit broadside last June and broke his leg in 3 places. It took four months of rehab for him to walk again. He no longer wants to ride and has offered it to me. I used t...

Roger,
Thanks for trying to talk some sense into her. Some people just don't get it.

Re: Hi folks, another 59 Suburban owner
Kerry, If you look in the forum, my build is there. The wiring was not a big deal. I just used the entire harness and cut out what I did not need. It actually made my life much easier because my car was only a shell when I got it. The harness from the pick up was long enough to wire the tail lights ...

Re: Hi folks, another 59 Suburban owner
Kerry,
Are you running the fuel injection? Or did you switch to a carb? I used a 1990 Dodge pickup up as a donor for my '59 Suburban. Mine is a 360 throttle body set up with overdrive.

Re: Windshield rubber
I purchased the windshield rubber for my Suburban from Andy. It came in two pieces and I just cut it to fit. I was not worried about originality.

It's on the road
I was like a kid in a candy store. I got my tags from MVD on Tuesday and my Suburban is now legally to drive. Over the last two days I have driven it over fifty miles with no problems whatsoever. It runs fantastic! I have had it up to 65mph and it feels great. Fuel injection and overdrive transmissi...

Re: 1959 Suburban
Lots of progress in the last month. Replaced all of the bushings and ball joints in the front end. Replaced the steering box (worm gear was missing some teeth). The front end (sheetmetal) is now on for good, it is amazing how many bolts were missing! I also finished my exhaust system, rear brakes, a...

Re: Part Numbers
These numbers were from eBay and I wanted to verify that these parts actual fit a 1959 Plymouth.
I have since bought all of my parts from Rare Parts in CA. 1-209-948-6005. Very nice quality and reasonable prices.

Re: Tire size
I am running the rear axle from the pick up truck, so I need to use the rear tires (235-15's) to keep the electronic fuel injection and the speedometer correct. I plan on running 15 inch tires up front to balance out the rears. I installed two inch lowering blocks in the rear to make it level. I was...

Looks like this guy is either trying to hide something with the blurry pictures or needs to learn how to focus a camera.
