Re: Under-dash Air conditioning
Wow,
I thought parts for the 59 were expensve but they are starting to look like a bargain compare to your Dodge compressor! Is Jeff going to post the unit he has for sale? I'd like to see it.

Re: Under-dash Air conditioning
I've learned that back in the day there were a few different manufacterers of under dash units that dealers would choose from. The Mark 4 was made by John E Mitchell Co. out of Dallas Texas. I've tried to research them but came up with very little. Vintage Air is selling a reproduction of the Mark 4...

Re: Under-dash Air conditioning
I haven't had much luck trying to figure out exactly what model units were available for 1959. I bought this Mark 4 unit recently but I beleive it may be a little too new. Can anyone name the year? I'm now looking for the compressor and or compressor mounting bracket for the 318 poly. Anybody got on...

Re: 2010 DAYTONA TURKEY RUN.
Great photos Dick. I was beginning to think you didn't exist toward the end of the day Saturday. My quest to find Greenie did ensure I saw each and every one of the 4500 plus cars that were there. You were literaly parked in the last row left to look in! What a BEEEautiful example she is. I will bui...

Under-dash Air conditioning
Hey everyone. I want to get an A/C unit installed under my dash like the dealers did back in the day. In doing so I want to make sure it it period correct. I have seen several old units come up for sale on Ebay but no one can tell me what year they were. There is also a company making reproduction M...

Re: Re-anodizing parts
Hey Dick,
I'm planning on taking my Sport Fury as well and I too will be parlked in the car club area. A friend of mine is in a club called Bad boyz toys and has offered me a place to park again this year.
Forward look to meeting you.

Re: Re-anodizing parts
Yes - I remember. I'm hoping the guy I sold that Belvedere to brings it to the Turkey Run in Daytona next month (That's were I sold it to him last year.) I'd like to see it again and see what he's done with her. That was one good running car!

Re: Re-anodizing parts
Hey Roger, Thanks for the reply. That's interesting - and fits with what the guy I bought the car from said. Was George a well known guy around here? Do we know what became of him? I decoded the VIN and it shows mine to be a true SF. I would love to learn whether the now 54,000 miles showing on the ...

Re: Re-anodizing parts
Oldschoolguy - Just noticed on the rear of your car the Sport Fury script. This has probably been discussed before but I might have missed it. Anyway, you must have bought this car from George Dalinas. I first noticed this car in "The Plymouth Bulletin" No 199. I put a Sport Fury script o...
