Re: Rear window moulding clips
Hey guys,
I lost out on the ebay auction that Matthew referenced; however, I did find another source for the fasteners:
www.rjlautofasteners.com
RJL Automotive fasteners
P.O. Box 143
Penfield, NY 14526
Ph/Fax 315 986 7121
They are $2.25 each.
Regards,
Joe

Re: Rear window moulding clips
Thanks, John. I will proceed accordingly! Repair the holes and fill the recess. Now, to find those clips. As a last resort I can improvise, adapt, and fabricate the clips.

Rear window moulding clips
Several of the rear window bottom moulding clips have rusted on my Canadian-built '59 Savoy. These are the V-shaped clips with stud that fasten with a sealing nut from inside the trunk. Question: Are there supposed to be drain holes at each end of the recessed area under the moulding, or am I lookin...

Fuel sending unit repair?
I haven't had any replies to my questions on my '59 Plymouth fuel sending unit. How about odds on repairing the existing unit? It seems to operate intermittenly when the tank is full down to 3/4 full. Perhaps the moving contact is not making contact with the coil when the fuel level falls to a certa...

VIN number decoding
Can the month of manufacture be determined from the VIN number? The Canadian '59 Savoy that was viewed by Terry a couple of weeks ago may soon be in my posession. Importing involves some red tape. The import forms ask for month of manufacture and GVWT including front and rear axle. The owner wasn't ...

Canadian Savoy?
I'm new to this forum; having just stumbled in. My second car was a '59 4dr Savoy. Bought new in '58, sold in '64 with 33,000 miles. My 50th class reunion is five years from now (2009) and I'm planning to show up in a '59 Plymouth. Is the Canadian car still available?
