Re: Carlisle 2014!
Hi Dan, I’m watching this post since January (in fact I watch it every January) and I was already wondering why there is so little response this year. It’s already seven years since I’ve visited the Carlisle Meeting with you Ron and Matthew and I really enjoyed it!!! Every year I tell myself “This y...

Re: Routing of trans cooler lines..
Roger, yeah :!: I forgot that you have the AC in it. John, It’s the original 4 blade fan. The sensor and thermostat are ok – I’ve checked. Also the hoses are not collapsing. Meanwhile temperatures dropped here in Portugal and I took advantage of the two last days of rain. No dropping anymore and the...

Re: Routing of trans cooler lines..
No, everything is brand new. I even bought a second radiator cap to double check it. I talked to a friend a couple of days ago and he told me to go for a bigger radiator (buy one or add a row to the one I have now) and the problem will be solved. I guess that’s what I will do in the near future. Bes...

Re: Routing of trans cooler lines..
The 318 radiator should be enough - that’s what I thought, but my engine is as good as new and due to oversize pistons and reworked heads and deck there is a higher compression ratio. I have between 10.5:1 and 11:1 and that appears to produce just enough heat to lift the safety valve. That happens o...

Re: Routing of trans cooler lines..
Roger,
I’ve just checked. The number on your radiator is 1832672. That’s the same number I have on my 318 radiator.

Re: Routing of trans cooler lines..
Yes, long time no hear Roger. I was a also a little busy during the last months. I just asked because, as you know, I’ve changed my 318 against a 361 and when I tried to install the 318 radiator, the lower water intake ra straight into the oil filter. So I had to move it a little to the outside. But...

Re: Routing of trans cooler lines..
Mine was a 318. When I put the 361 in, the lower radiator connection ran smack into the oil filter. So I think I had the radiator inlet moved. Question to Roger: Does that mean you're still driving wiht a 318 radiator in your car? Don't you have problems with overheating or loosing water thru the r...

Well Roger,
I don’t have experience with this interior package, but other members already had experience with Mel. I think this package is unbelievable expensive, but I’m talking for myself only.

Re: repaint!
Now it's going forward with high speed!
How are your tiffany mendalions? If they are pitted they will call negativ attention on the new paint. Will you rechrome it? (I'm asking because mine are laying on the shelf for two years now because I don't know how to close the holes before rechorming)

Re: repaint!
Good work Ron! I follow your work in progress, but still it hurts to see the guy drilling a hole in the metal. I also have this template taped on my trunk but didn’t find the courage to drill – yet. I’d like to see pictures when the antennas are installed.

Re: repaint!
John,
also from Portugal a big thank you for the template - now, all I need is courage to cut the fender !
Ron and Matthew,
you have some work to do, but it doesn't look too bad. Hope you'll finish next year.

Re: repaint!
John,
If possible I would also like to have this template. I also have two rear antennas in my locker for years now and didn’t install them because I didn’t want to place the holes in the wrong place.
Roger,
Yeah, maybe I should change my scale from m(iles)pg to m(eter)pg. That could cheer me up!

Re: repaint!
All this converting is getting complicated but I guess you mean 8 mpg instead of 8 miles per hour  Maybe at that speed you would get a better milage :D Fainally you've got me laughing  . Of course you are right! - But it doesnt' matter if its miles per gallon or miles per hour - it doesn'...
