Re: A WORK IN PROGRESS
Whoa, haven"t been on in a long time! Haven't done too much in the last year-- I have the drivetrain mounted on the frame, had to fab up a tranny crossmember to hold the A518 O/D. Also, got a new driveshaft made to account for the new trans. I just finnished painting the underside of the body w...

59 Belvy in MOPAR MUSCLE
Anyone see the '59 Belvy in the latest issue of Mopar Muscle? It had a 528 big block in it and ran 11.70's on the quarter!

Re: My car.
This might sound like a dumb question but...does your car have a fuse block in it where all the interior wiring harness plugs into? My car came with boxes inside full of bits and pieces-the dash had been half assembled and I have no idea whether or not there is supposed to be a fuse panel. I assume ...

Re: My car.
Its looking good!! You asked about my Dad rebuilding TorqueFlites--He doesn't have his own kit, he usually uses kits from SMR Transmissions, or Mopar Performance-he goes through the tranny thoroughlly and knows what kind of things to look for as far as wear goes, and he knows all the little tricks a...

Re: A WORK IN PROGRESS
oh ya, I had to relocate the spring mounting plates on the axle tube a bit, and I also reused the stock shock mounting plates I think.

Re: !Hazard a Guess!
I'll keep Big M in mind! I found in a Mopar engine book that a completely assembled LA motor is just shy of 500lbs. I would think that old 251 is at least that-they are a pretty thick casting(can be bored at least .100 over). The guy that bought my old motor bored it out big time and put a blower on...

Re: A WORK IN PROGRESS
I wondered if an 8 3/4 would fit of a b body, is it a straight swap then and are you gonna use b body rear springs as well? I am planning to do the same with my rear end as well i want to keep the poly and push button though, planning on buying a stroker kit for it to take it to 402ci i am a way of...

Re: !Hazard a Guess!
Really?? That's a big lump of pig iron
! I was gonna say closer to 700lbs. Just wondering how much weight difference there was between the old drivetrain and the 360/A518 combo thats going in my car.
