Black Car LLC???

Anyone ever ordered anything from this place called "Black Car" at http://www.blackcar-llc.com/index.htm? They have NOS sheet metal that I need but I'm concerned about their credibility and quality... They want $300.00 total for the following (plus 45.00 shipping totalling 345.00). Is this a high price?

Under front seat floor pan - left side - $125.00
Lower rear section of rear fender behind wheel (RFP-49BX) - passenger side only - $175.00

Again, these are supposedly NOS but they have a statement "Please note - some of these panels do show there age with some minor surface rust, but don't be discouraged these panels are solid and will save you dollars in the long run." Hmmm.... Any advice would be very much welcome!!!

I have been asking them questions too and they didn't convince me that they had good quality. I would recommend to check with Big M first before buying from Black car. I know that John is an honest guy, knows what he is talking about, is easy to deal with and he has reasonable prices.

Thanks Ron.. I've already been in touch with John and just waiting for him to let me know.. I was just curious and "shopping around"... I want to deal with him and honestly, it doesn't matter how long it takes him to find the parts as I'm in no hurry... Thanks again! Holding off for Big M!

Keep in mind these are NORS panels in most cases. Not NOS panels..
and also these panels were made in the 50's 60's and early 70's and none of the manufactures I have run into have ever primed their panels in these era's so you are going to get surface rust to some degree.. Dings, dents and bent corners can also be expected.
I have put fender caps, rockers and about any other panel one can imagine on in the past and one thing I will tell you is, these panels are die stamped. You can order a set from the same company and one might fit like a glove, the other can take hours or sometimes days to rework it and get it to fit and look properly. Fit, contour, body lines ect. are at their best in the first 150 pieces after that the dies start breaking down and start loosing form, crispness, fit ect..
I don't mean to discourage you, I'm just trying to point out a few things that can be found in replacement panels. It's like playing Craps, sometimes your lucky, other times your not.
