Air filter housings for dual quad.

Post by sportfury1959 »

Hello group,

I would need a pair of oval air filter housings for a 361 with dual quad - set up. Does anybody know where to get them or does anybody have a pair?

Thank you

Stefan

Stefan, this just got posted over on the Forward Look mailing list:

There are two sources for repro air cleaners. Mike Laiserin reproduces them in fiberglass for a lot less than metal ones. They are quite nice, actually. mwl1967@aol.com Michael Burke sells the Swedish made reproduction metal units. As per his ad on the Chrysler 300 Club Int'l web site at www.chrysler300club.com : Reproduction Chrysler 300 air cleaners again available. Both round and oval styles to fit 58 thru 64 dual 4 bbl cars. Cleaners are steel as original and painted correct colors with correct decals, ready to bolt on. Priced at $575 per pair. Call Mike Burke at 517 869 2651 or email: C300F@hotmail.com (11/29/06)
Here's a link:

Good luck!

Thanks Dan,

is it known where I could get it in Sweden? It doesn't make sens to send it to the US pay shipping and custom, and then back again, paying again shipping and custom fees, etc.

You're right, Stefan, it makes more sense to deal directly. Did you try asking Mike Burke who he gets them from? If you don't get an answer, let me know -- I'll post to the Forward Look newslist. I'm sure someone there knows...

Thanks Dan,

I'll try that, although I don't believe that he will reveal his source.
