The 'Plymouth Value Story' optional equipment booklet lists 8.00X14 as the recommended tire for the Suburban. That translates to P225/70R14 or P215/75R14 in radial tires according to Coker's catalog.

In the 59 Plymouth service manual supplement are two different tire sizes.
For wheel size 14 x 5 1/2 (special equipment) and 14 x 6 (special equipment for 12" brakes) you need 8 x 14 tires. For the 14 x 5 wheels you need the 7 1/2 x 14 tires.
