Cassic Cars Furys, of the fifties

Post by Mark Merritt »

Dick I loved the article on your green survivor,I got the magazine Hemmings Classic Car and seen you were featured in "FURYS OF THE FIFTIES",your survivor looks great!! The 57 Fury also in the article, the white one with the gold trim, wing tips, and circular designs in the hub caps is just like the one that came out of A barn last year,1 1/2 miles from my house(I HAD NO IDEA) IT SAT ABOUT 40 YRS. Had the dual quads on the 318,and "Fury" on the door panels,I guess they only made 7,000 of them and were only painted white,A dealer thing to get you to see them.Anyway I liked you spread and I am sure you will be on their calender "Cars of the fifties" Thanks Mark M

Mark - Still haven't got my copy of the Magazine. AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!! Making me Crazy. Richard Linetello the Editor of HCC didn't tell me, he wanted it to be a surprise. Speaking of 57 Plymouths, my first NEW car at age 21 was a 57 Belvedere Convetible.

Dick,

Congratulations again on getting more magazine coverage, you must be setting some kind of a record for Hemmings.

Got my copy in the mail Saturday and will buy a couple off the newsstand too.

Now, will we see Charleen in a forthcoming issue?

And why no burnout pictures? Or even capture the sound of a Golden Commando at full throttle! Better than a Hellcat for sure.

Great work - thanks!

Hi Bernie - Finally got my copy of the Magazine. Wow, more than I expected. No wonder Richard Linetello is the Editor, that man knows his stuff and did a great job.
Bernie - Charleen probably will not be in the Magazine because there are too many modifications, Hemmings Classic Cars only deals with classics that are factory correct with maybe one or two exceptions. Charleen's engine is incorrect, has an alternator, and seat upholstery is incorrect. But she did get mentioned in the article. I was totally surprised, Richard said it Greenie would be in a future article, maybe, but I had not idea it would be this soon.

Dick Koch Scores Hemmings Three Months in a Row

Post by Faulkner »

For those who haven't yet seen the article, here it is. Who among the living can claim to have their cars appear in Hemmings Classic Car three months in a row? Only one, and he's a member of our group. Makes me proud. Waydago, Dick.

Yea Mark, you nailed it. BUT how come I'm always the last to find out anything. It's a total surprise, I saw Richard Lenitello from Hemmings at the Lake Mirror Classic and he said nothing. Another surprise. Where and how did you get a copy of the Calendar.
