Taking out light switch

So what is the magic trick on taking out the light switch from the 1959 SF dash?...can't get the "stalk" out to take the switch out. Can loosen the retaining nut., but of course can't get the switch out....was looking for a hex screw on the knob or a release button on the light switch, but none found.

Hi. There is a spring loaded button.Push the button while pulling on the knob. You should be able to see the button in the picture. John

Sweet..was looking for one..ford has them, but didn't see one on my switch prob. Cause all the wiring in the way...now I know where it is.
