Lindas 59

Post by lindas59 »

I stumbled across this web site and thought it would be fun to post some pictures of my 59 Sport Fury. It hides out in the garage so not very many people get to see it so I thought I would share. I bought it about 13 years ago but it did not look like this then. It has been repainted and upholstered, new wheels (still have the old wheels and plymouth hubcaps). New chrome on front/rear bumpers and valve covers. Engine had just been rebuilt when we purchased it. We had transmission rebuilt (its a 3 speed with overdrive) and had drive line balanced. Added glass pack mufflers, can't remember if complete exhaust system was done. Has a great sound. I think that this car has spent most of its life in the desert because it only had a couple small rust spots when repainted. It was purchased new in Baker, Oregon and now hangs out around Bend, Oregon.

They don't make bumpers like that anymore.

There is enough metal in this car to make 3 hondas!

I hate cleaning the bugs out of that grill.

318...361? You don't hear about many original manual-trannied V-8's.
What options does it have?
Really beautiful!

I believe the engine is a 318. Not sure what you mean by what options does it have. I have a couple engine pictures but I need to resize them. Will post later.

318 has distributor at the back of the engine. 361 is up front.
Oh, I was just mentally picturing your car...wondering if it had power windows, etc. Lots of folks are proud of the various extras their car has..
Looking forward to more pix

Beautiful '59, Linda!

I may have met you at Reno's Hot August Nights several years ago, the car looks rather familiar.

Lindas,

Is your black hard top fury for sale? If so, what is your asking price?

Really appreciate what you've done with this classic auto

Sincerely,
