That's one heck of a great find there, Steve! Looks to be in really nice cimdition as well.
I'm working on a SF convertible as well, but slowly bringinging it back from it's dilapidated condition from setting in the woods for 40 years. ---John

I wonder, can you have both stone guards AND fender skirts?
The licence plate on the car seems to be either NY or MN

Hi-Curt,John,Matthew and rogerh-great to hear from all of you. My SF has the 318 w/power pack. Hardened valves and balancing. Still needs some cosmetics, but i have a large car family so my fury needs to await its seat at the table!! I'm located in the souther tier of New York off I88 in Sidney. John i saw your postings on your convertable project-my god- thats a real project! Good luck with it. I had challanges with mine-top bows and missing X member mount come to mind right off. This Winter will get to some much needed finish work ie re chrome and probably repaint-my body work tends toward the amature.Matthew - your right i never noticed the black accent or deaccent on the head light surround. rogerh-fender skirts are on-i've still got to fit the stoneguards which need some jiggering for fit. All your cars look great!!

Hi Steve, so glad you found our site! I've been playing tour guide to a Dutch contingent ( ) and otherwise preoccupied with work -- so I'm only now discovering your post. Welcome aboard! I hope you enjoy the site. And maybe someday when I find the time, we'll build you a web page in the showcase.

Yes, we all would enjoy the story behind the "find", for example!

Re: My 59 plymouth sort fury convertable
Thanks Faulkner-
the web page sounds inneresting. I'm trying to refine my digital camers operation. It seems there is a fine line between pixel setting and e-mail attachability. I found my "Plym" in a guys shed while looking at a project p/u truck he had advertised. I mentioned i was also interested in finding an old convertable. He'd found it sitting next to a collapsed building in 1991 and kept it dry until i bought it in 2004. Will work om improving picture quality! These old before pictures are pictures of pictures i'd taken with a conventional camera.

Will try to attach some top down pictures. Had 33 degrees this am. If i had half a brain i'd move south! Steve

Fun! A white car with red interior and black top. I like the custom top boot, it's "different". Paint job looks good too, but I know phots don't show orange peel, or other flaws.

The upholstery ressembles a Fury design. Was that done purposely?
Re: My 59 plymouth sort fury convertable
Just another 2 cent suggestion.
During your repaint - I believe the valance under the bumper should be painted "argent" silver/gray?
Perhaps the experts here can chime in on the correct paint for this part.
You were lucky to still have this piece in useale condition.
The car looks great with the top up or down.
Curt

Re: My 59 plymouth sort fury convertable
Thanx John Q. my camera started to smoke while taking the top down pics so will have to let it cool down! Your right rogerh. My camera is very image friendly. The "old plym" still has some of the "barn crushing patina". I couldnt swing an NOS interior- so enlisted an uphosterer that preferred fishen an beer drinken to time behind a sewen machine. Many gray hairs later we arrived at a furyish interior. He did a pretty good job. Curt i have noticed the bumper valances appearing chrome like in photos. Will definately take your advice. Happy Trails
