How 'bout them Portawalls...

Post by Faulkner »

I went to visit my son in NC the weekend after Jim Rawa installed the Portawalls; I only got around to putting them on Faulkner last weekend. The the stuff hit the fan with the Forum... Well, we're back in business. So now it's time to post those pictures.

Dan,

I like the port a walls - any idea how long they should last?
I remember seeing some of these at car shows that were failing (coming unglued) but I have no idea how long they were on the car and how thwy were installed.

Not sure how long they last, Curt -- I don't know why they should wear any faster than the tire. And they aren't actually glued; they're sculpted just a bit to hug the sidewall. At twenty feet (which is the distance to observe Faulkner anyway  ) you really can't tell.

Where do you buy the porta walls. My fathers 56 Ford Victoria used to have a set on them.
