- The oil pan,

- ... goes on now and hopefully it will stay on for the next 50 years. I would be 95 then.

- Stefan, you do a terrific job! Somebody had to mention that. 8)

Stole the words right out of my mouth...

Hey Stefan, will you be firing this puppy up on a stand, before you put in the car? Don't forget to take video!

Was I only fishing for compliments or maybe motivating myself? Well, I don’t know, but this year I’m completing 20 years of working on this car and sometimes I become very tired. Not that I’m depressed, but a big part of the fun doing a restore and pushing it to perfection is working with people who share the same “virus”. To me it’s like working on an island - It simply takes too long to get everything together and there is no “good company” around here to drink a beer and talk gasoline or just go cruisin (only soccer fanatics). As far as I remember there was something else, attached to old cars. Wasn’t it young girls or so? Maybe I messed around too much time with the first part.
So, to all my web-site buddies - Dan, John, Ron, Roger, Dick, Ed, Tom, Bob, Curt, Matthew, Tom G., Frank, Merle and all the others who show up here for helping me with parts, support, suggestions and ideas

- THANK YOU!!! – only your help makes this possible!

8) but next time I’ll better drive with an old junker 8)

Nice note Stefan,

I am always amazed at the amount of help available on this site. I am sure there are many more fans of yours that take a look at your wonderful work, but just don't respond.

It has been a real pleasure for me watching the 361 be rebuilt to better than new condition. It sure makes winter pass by a little quicker - although we have had several very mild days around here and at Dan's location as well!

Spring is right around the corner.

Thanks again for taking the time to post all your pictures.

Thanks Curt, that's true - there is a lot of help here!!!

Dan, I forgot to answer. No I won't break it in on a stand. Third - I don't have a stand, second I don't have and exhaust yet and first I have a lot of faith in my work - hope it won't proof me wrong. I will pull the 318 probably on March 15th and then see what the transmission needs. The front end is leaking a little.

I don't know if you're fishing but for sure you deserve a compliment for your work :!:

but next time I’ll better drive with an old junker

How about driving this car until it is an old junker? You can make a test drive to let's say The Netherlands so we can admire your work. Or maybe we should make the trip to Portugal some day 8)

Sooner than the Fury I will be the old junker  - and admiring my work, well, I hold it like your bottom line - "cars should be enjoyed, not admired"
Stefan
As far as I remember I've already invited you. That offer is still standing!. But, sooner or later I will show up at your place and we make a nice crusin night ok?
