Thanks Dick for the education on single stage /two stage paints. I'm gonna jump in the water and give up on acrylic enamel finally. Also will be installing the vintage bellows booster and pedal assembly I got from John Fowlie- a winter project. Does anyone have any ideas where to get a new bellows for the booster? Great work on the reso. Your an artist.

OK, here's the engine afta pitchuhs, the water pump you see here had to come off (only one outlet) I didn't notice until I had to remove some fittings from the old pump, the correct water pump for an AC car is two outlets. I got lucky because the timing chain only had 1/8" play, 3/16"is allowed. It's a good thing I decided to replace the freeze plugs because when driving a hole in one of them for removal it disloged some internal rust and walla a hole apperared so it would have leaked very soon. It wasn't easy replacing them, I thing it would be very near impossible with the fenders on, especially the ones under the motor mounts which i replaced also. The engine paint is Eastwood Chrysler Red 650 degree engine paint and the Exhaust Manifolds is also Eastwood Manifold Paint. More to follow:

Question - Where do you get large pieces chromed - like bumpers.

I have been burned several times on my bumpers.

And remember that your car needs to be driveable by the 15th of November It is not sure yet but I do believe we will be able to come and visit Florida's highlights and you are certainly one of them.

Curt - I used Bumper Boyz because they were cheap, they also suck, the best bet is well old and well established Companies. Ask around at Car Shows, etc. Good Chroming is not cheap. Ask what kind of Guarantee they have, some good ones in Hemmings Magazine.

I'm Jealous, John has a 413 and all I have is a 318, that's 95 cubes difference, dag nab it. Eny who heres some more pitchuhs and commentary. Had to change to different carburetors than you see because of linkage hangup and clearance problems problems, Hope to get it running sometime next week.

Relaxing in North Carolina with the parental units! Dad just got a pace maker last week and it sure pep'ed him up some!

I'm interested in type of paint of heater box too, looks sharp.
Be sure to tighten up all the bolts good......I say that because again a loose bolt almost cost me. Sunday, discovered bolt was missing/gone from generator bracket end. The end connected to engine block. So generator belt was very loose. I think I actually heard it fall off/hit bottom of car when driving home from show on Sunday. Other time it was the trany bolts. I think I'm going to use Locktite, medium or low strength, in future.

Thanks Guys - Believe it or not it's Rust 0 leum rattle can "APPLIANCE EPOXY" gloss black. Got it at Home Depot, was using thier regular gloss black but not anymore, same with white. I detailed the engine compartment of my 63 Galaxie with the reqular gloss black and it came out nice but I wish I had known about the Appliance paint then. See pictures.

Looks great Dick. See you've utilized a solid canister brake booster. Were these also used on Plyms and are they interchangeable?? Just curious as i'm all set with the bellows style now thanks to John and Roger. Great Work!!
