Matty, Pictures have been very informative and interesting. Archetecture is so differant from upstate New York. Your shop looks great! On the wheel arch are the metal tabs just bent around the wheel opening and screwed. Do you ever use an adhesive? What is the purpose of the masking tape? Sorry so many questions. Steve

Yes Steve, just a bit different from the norm but it gives an idea of things here in the uk, i can post a few more if you like!
Now then in answer to your questions, the masking tape is to stop the new pieces welding to the pannel that i am forming off. The art of this is simple, its a complex part to make and if you have no forming/wheeling equipment its the ony way to do this job.
Use small pieces of steel, dont rush, each small piece is screwed to the existing pannel and then tacked, you will make the arch in 3 pieces, the flange and then the two outer pieces do you see what i mean?
The pieces are small because you cannot bend the metal any other way without propper pressing equipment. It will take me 20 hours to make the arch so if youre planning on having a go it may take you 60 hours but it is woth the effort, in answer to how the arch is attached to the body, the screws are there only to keep everything in place, after you complete the arch the screws are removed and the old arch will be cut away to let the new one in.
