What Ricks mention of the local police is that I get my plates next week on the car, and All I am driving on is a set of 1959 Colorado plates that Rick's Grandmother used back in the day,

I have insurance on it, but I had a Bill of Sale and the final paper work will be done next week, But I have to drive it a little!

So we all just waved at the local cop and he waved back at one a fine automobile I had! LOL

Three different State Patrol/DMV trips last Frinday to 3 different buildings, in the span of 3 hours, I was able to get my title, registration and Collector plates secure for the Convertible. I am now legal to drive around town and have Hagerty Insurance to back it all up. Unlike the last two weeks when I just made minor local trips in my neighborhood hoping not to get caught!

Though I have a lot of work still to do on the car to fine tune some cosmetic parts of the car, that will be an ongoing project, I now have a running driving 59 Plymouth! It was Christmas in August for me!

I would like to mention that I could not have done this with out a lot of technical help Support and spare 59 parts from a lot of Forum members. The convertible has parts on it from: Tom Fox, Dan Morton, Ron, Marjo and Matthew Keij (The Dutch Connection) , Roger Howard, Dick Koch,Earl Hess,John Fowlie & Rick & Debbie Clapham (Ricky Mopar) And untold E bay sellers who supplied parts to get this car put back together again. :D :D

If I left any Forum member off, I apologize for any omission of your names.

Truly the 59 Forum group is a wonderful group of car people willing to teach, instruct and tolerate my sense of humor on this Restification of my Derelict Belvedere Convertible from the Montana prarie.

Pam and I thank you for helping us get this car up and running and presentable.

Dick, are you still playing the Tin Man from the West Palm local production of the "Wizard of Oz"? LOL

Now that I have my lower back fixed the knees are giving a problem too! Is WD40 working?

Hang in there!

John - My Grandmother who died at 97 about 10 years ago used to spray her hands with WD40 everyday and swore by it. I'm tempted.

Yesterday, I finally was able to bring the 59 to our local once a month Golden (Colo) Super Cruise. It was neat to show off the car and had an ear to ear grin all day.
The crowds like our 59's! A lot of people commented that they have never seen one or if they had seen one, it had been a long time. The color again brought them over for a look see, I demonstrated to a lot of women, both young and old, the swivel out seats feature and most were amazed that this type of seat existed even back in the late 50's.

Here are a some pic's of that show. I am between two Mopar car club modern muscle, a 2010 Challenger and a 2012 Charger, Gives a good comparison of our 59's size in comparison to the newer stuff from Mother Mopar.
