I am so happy (not to mention envious). This could not have happened to a nicer guy. :)

On the Ditch news there are still items about Irene and the damage she made, Today I got this movie http://youtu.be/jtsT-BIotz4 in my mailbox about a flooding in Ellicot City :( That is right, Curt's home town... Main Street is a big mess but I hope all is well with Curt and his family!

Curt please let us know how you are.

Ron and Everyone,

We are okay. I have some pictures that I can upload later of the flooding on my lot. You see I live on a flood plain and right next to a small stream that dumps into the Patapsco River not far from my house. The same river that you see in the video and attached. http://youtu.be/BKCgqvvv_cU

We were lucky - no damage and no wet basement. This was the worst rain event we have ever seen.

There was also a retaining wall that fell that was 170+ years old.

Okay I thought we were done here - Earthquake, Hurricane and Record breaking rainfalls - what's next???

Well we set record high temperatures as well just a few weeks ago - so I'm guessing a sandstorm!

Here are two crappy cell phone pictures - but you get the idea.

The stream that runs by my house is usually 3 feet wide and 8 inches deep (spring fed) and never runs dry.

This water would have been about 7 or 8 feet deep and stretched about 150 feret wide in the front yard picture!

Still raining here tonight and more rain is expected through the eweekend!

Stay Dry.

Are those 2 pics the same? Thought they were taken 0,001 second apart.
Take a close look at the 1045th leaf on the tree. It just moved a little bit by the wind.
Don't lose the count on those leaves or you will have to start all over again
