an interesting thread. what do these "perfect" units typically go for...$1,000?

From what I can gather, the HiWay HiFi units were available from Chrysler from '56-late '58. '59 were RCA units that played 45 RPM records, rather than the 16 2/3 rpm records the prior unit used.
