I picked up this Rod & Custom magazine from 2002, with an article on Rich Zocchi's "Furyous I".

This knockout of a '59 Plymouth Fury is the most recent Chrysler product to get the Zocchi treatment. Richard found the two-door hardtop in the Atlanta area. He likes to start his projects with good-condition cars, and this one was in primo original condition, including paint, interior, and all chrome and glass - and mileage under 50K.
(*Sigh*.) "Primo condition". Well, to each his own, I guess.
Sorry to hear that Richard passed away. I wonder what happened to the custom... I've seen lots of pictures, but I have no idea how old they are, and if they were taken when the car had new ownership.
IIRC, Dan, He completed that car late in 2001 and showed it at Sacramento Autorama the next February. As with most car builders or designers, after a few major shows it was sold, and he moved on to a different project. Last I saw this '59 custom, it was owned by someone in the southeast, maybe Florida.
Here's a bunch more pix of "Furious I". I don't think it's a lighting effect - the car appears to have once been painted yellow, and then green (or vice versa). Which color is it now - and, where is it?!?
