Unbelivable, our ACE is a very small one with limited inventory, no backroom, but probably the finest fastner selection in the area, especially hurricane shutter fastners. Yesterday we sold out batteries, flashlights, tarps and hurricane fasteners. This morning there was a line waiting to get in, so many customers we have to regulate them, one leaves, one gets in. At noon today we got a new supply of shutter wing nuts and they are going fast. I normally start at 8 am. Tomorrow at 7 am. Spent yesterday afternoon and today pickin up, buttonlng up and putting away stuff at home. Got the Generator ready with plenty of gas. All the cars filled and put away. This will be the thirteenth hurricane for me, the first in 1948 in Bay St. Louis, MS. I was 12 years old. In 1965 Yvonne and l went thru Betsy twice, once in South FLoria and again in New Orleans while on vacation and visiting family. When you are as old as dirt you get to experience a lot of things. Matthew and/or Matthew, same difference. Valence, what valence, l sold that a long time ago.
Pray for us,
Dick
I'm disappointed (NOT) every once in a while feeder bands will pass over us with heavy rain and wind but really not that bad. I kinda feel like l busted my butt the last three days for nothing. Now l gotta put it all back
We haven't even lost power yet and that's a first. All I've been doing all evening is watching these stupid news people stand in the rain explaining why a stop sign fell over. CHEEEZ!

Even though the storm is further north and it's worse there, we faired not to bad here. Speaking for the Koches only we had no structural damage at all and our foliage did good also with the exception of our Staghorn fern hanging from a chain falling about five feet to the ground and 15 to 20 Avacados falling, they were starting to fall anyway with the help of the squirrles. The electricty went out a couple of times but only for a couple of minutes. When Wilma hit us 11 years ago we had to have the roof replaced, four big pine trees fell, the huge oak tree in the front yard had some of its roots exposed by the violent rocking motion caused be the winds and electricity was out for a week in our area. Thank you Generator. I'm sure your prayers had a lot to do with it.
Thanks all.
Dick
