Second headlight door is done! They look great. Can't wait to have the car back together.
It's going for sanding and polishing and then I can put on all the trim.

Thought I would give you guys an update.

Car had to be appraised again and I was done in time.
Was trying to fix some things at work and I found out the gas tank was leaking.
On my way home the left rear brake got stuck.
It's all fixed now!

Had a spare power steering pump that I restored but found out it was different.
Took the leaking one off and fixed that one.
Now I just need to replace some heater hoses and then the cruising can begin!

Another update for this year! It's been so quiet but it seems the problems won't stop!

I finally found a lot of parts I needed or wanted. They were found by Frank and I picked them up and shipped them in the junior.
The lower radiator hose I had didn't fit and we figured it was the water pump housing. They changed the diameter of the outlet mid 60's. Turned out I had the correct housing but wrong hoses. Napa didn't listed the correct ones, only the 318 hoses.

Went to rockauto for the correct hoses and had no problem with them.
The power steering pump Frank got for me had a different bracket, thanks to Dick I figured that was the correct one so I changed it together with the pump that I did a rebuild on. Now I had a leak free power steering pump!

Frank also found a dual pulley air conditioning generator for me and he had it rebuild. It looks great and when I mounted it I had the wrong bracket. He had the bracket somewhere in his basement but he shipped it and the generator worked perfectly. Had to modify the adjuster bracket for it.

The top radiator hose was bad too and I had a couple new ones. Turned out they were wrong too.
So it was rockauto again who saved me on the second try. First time I had wrong hoses but when I checked 1960 it was all ok.

Finally the car started and I parked it outside to check for coolant leaks. Couldn't see any coolant so I was happy.
That was for a minute as there were a couple drops from the power steering return hose. The hose came apart while I removed it. Couldn't find a correct hose for it but it's ordered now.
Had a replacement that was a bit smaller but it worked for now. Started the car again and checked, the leak is coming from the box. Luckily I have 2 others and 1 of them looks like it had a rebuild so I'm going to try to swap them.
Hope I can drive it soon but it's just problem after problem.
I have a 2:93 rear axle waiting to go under the car to replace the 3:31 so I might be able to increase the miles per gallon.

Pics coming soon!

Whoa!!! a dual setup, nice. Did that to Charleen's 318 but had and are still having a problems with the linkage (kick down) from the rear carburetor to the bellcrank. Also the pedal angle, changed the pedal base but it didn't help. Car runs and drives but still not right. Keep us posted on your progress, especially your linkage setup with lots of pictures.
Good luck,
Dick.

Frank helped me a lot on the dual quads. I have most of the parts, still need a few small things.

The linkage should be the same for all the cars except the parts that clicks onto the carbs. I have one ready and it's a lot shorter then the others.

Quick update here, been busy this morning

Wow! Really looks great! I have never seen a 59 Sport-Fury with dual four barrels, as well as air conditioning. John Quinn better step up... I have 300 E performance heads with the big valves and an intake, Just need better carbs. Matthew I still have 8.75 Mo-Par goodies for you. At your elevation a 361 runs as well as a 413 at my elevation. What was your over bore as well as camshaft specs? PM me if you want.

I know Rick, I should have the 413 dual four barrel intake repaired shortly and will work on getting the two Carter AFB's I have rebuilt. So I should have my 300E conversion on my 413 done by May.

Now that the snow has abated and warmer weather ahead, I will be able to get the 59 out and about again.

John; If anyone would know how hard you have been working it would be us. I am sorry if I was having a little fun at your expense... I do apologize. Post Script, I just picked up one pair of 300 J heads and 3 sets of 300 K heads castings only new in boxes.
