361 valve springs
361 valve springs
Help needed. Again... 
One valve spring snapped and i`m about to change them all.
I noticed that the old springs and new ones too are too big (wide). Springs can move sideways on the head and valve retainers. (before locking them on place of course)
Does it really matter or will i have problems in future? I have heard that too big valve spring can start "dancing" and chew up the head.
My engine is not a racing engine so it will never see high rpm.
These experts say that "size does matter"

Rockauto sells new springs too but those are too long (2.58") compared to the old ones i have (and new). Maybe the old springs were wrong in first place and those rockauto`s springs are the right ones.
i would appreciate if someone could give me some dimenssions, and maybe even a pic off original 361 valve spring. Engine is from mid 60`s version if it does matter.
