Kjell: How many bolts secure the starter to the bellhousing? 2 or 3. Manual or automatic transmission?

Also key to the selection is the distance between the two bolts if it is a two bolt system to mount the starter. There are a couple different distance patterns out there depending on what year your starter is.
The one in my 59 Plymouth is a 1960 413 RB is a two bold style with a hole spacing distance of about 4 1/4" (107.95mm) center to center of the mounting holes.

I have a starter that needs a bendix drive, if it is the right one I will start looking for a new bendix and install it.
