Great stuff, Matthew! That '59 in front of the "Chrysler Engineering" arch is a turbo, based on the name assigned to it...

When you are looking good you can see some details about it. It's different like the normal 59's. There are just some minor things.
Notice it doesn't have the "Plymouth" logo on the hood, other hubcaps and it looks like the front valance was painted in the same colour as the body

not to mention the grille center badge and rectangular "plates"..
The turbine was a failure, but I dont recall why.

I just found a pic on forwardlook.net. I think it's Tom Gerrard's SF. I also have 2 pics of a magazine with (sure about it 99%) Tom Gerrard's SF

Yup -- That's Tom's, who bought it from Myles Walker. I just bought that mag on eBay, I'll get around to scanning it and putting the article in Ephemera someday...

Matthew, the picture you posted (SF with licence plate IED 959) is not Tom’s car but something very especial. Did you realise that the steering wheel is on the right side?

the car with the RH drive is a hardtop, with dual spotlights. Definitely a UFO! someonw with some time and talent might figure out the country of that license plate...

I think it's Australia. I remember a 57 Plymouth that was in Australia with RH drive. He was making it a LH drive again.
I also looked at some pics from cars in australia. Some of the had 3 numbers and 3 letters on the license plate

Matthew, If you have time, maybe go back to the ForwardLook site and send out a general message asking about the car? I know there is at least one Australian on one of these two Lists, either this one or FL...

Speaking of Australia, that's where the '59SF that sold on ebay is going:

(And yes, Matthew, I've already invited him to join  )
