hardtop & convertible foto shoot

Post by Ron Keij »

Today it was still cold but it was dry so we decided to use the afternoon to take some pictures. At first we had some trouble getting the convertible started but with jumper cables it fired right up, next on the list is a new battery I guess. Matthew was driving the convertible and Marjo and I followed in the hardtop to a nearby mall with a big parking lot.

Like John Q told me, it is only a matter of time before Matthew claims it to be his car

Dick,

I feel so sorry for you that you still have to bear the sunshine all day, if I could I would send some of our cold weather to you so you would have some relief

Still working on the video but every program I use seems to hate me  I will get it done one way or the other but for now I have a link to it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3QdF-AU0K8 It does show you my garage and the 59 Plymouth banner too.

Here are two pictures that show how much further the top folds now. The cover used to be tight over the top and now we can hide a body under it, seems like a good place because the police always looks for bodies in the trunk

sigh...snif...with me, Christmas is family time, which includes recollecting byegone days...fond memories of happy Christmasses of my childhood, family, loved ones now passed on..

The car looks brilliant, immaculate, and exceedingly well-cared for.
Seeing the now engraved glovebox plaque cracked me up!
The Autronic eye looks at home too. The view of the garge and immediate neighborhood was great.
I wish I had a supply of extra vinyl so you could re-make the boot cover correctly. I think that material came from OAI as part of the total vinyl package, but maybe the convertible top and interior specialists supplied it. Hopefully I sent the sample papers with car, so you can get more from OAI when the time comes.
While i had the car, I kept the battery on a Battery Tender, but it's entirely possible my minimal use of the car may have led to its premature demise.
