Correct 361 Engine Scheme

Post by Clifdavis »

My 361 is so dirty I can not tell original colors. I am to believe the engine is red with gold valve covers and air cleaner. Does anybody have correct color engine paint part numbers from Mopar or other sources?

Clif,
Try a Mopar dealer. They still carry rattle cans of Red engine enamel. This is what I used.
Dick Koch has been restoring his SF down in Florida, and recently painted his engine. If you see his photos, and like the color, ask him for details.
He has been using a spraygun, however.

Thanks for the info. Fortunately i did find a few cans of correct Mopar paints out there. More expensive than usual but i got the per can price down by buying several and combining shipping. Steve White motors carries a nice selection.
