either Ginger or Ernie put the shackles on it.
That black one is surely a "black beauty".
Gotta share a shackle story with you all, since it relates to Rogers city of Seattle. I once had a '67 Mustang fastback. Put shackles on it and shortly after a Wis State Trooper stopped me and gave me a ticket requiring me to take them off as it altered the suspension. Trooper was Myron Krieg, father of Dave Krieg, who used to be the Seattle Seahawk's Quarterback.
Back to '59 Plymouth rear springs. I broke rear spring leafs on at least 3 occasions on a SF I had back in '60s. My '59 Fury has one broken leaf and when I purchased my present '59 Sport Fury, it's springs were flat as could be. I got a good pair out of parts car I bought and they have 1 extra leaf, probably station wagon springs I'm assuming.
