Re: 361 - Project

- the tube is cut to the correct length
- and we have to take care that we have enough clearance to each side and the cross member
- and we have to built a special adapter to make sure the tube slips perfectly centred into the exhaust manifold

Re: 361 - Project

Hello Folks,

Wanna see some more pictures? Here they come:

- this was a kind view for me. I have my Fury for more than 20 years now and I have never had the car on a trailer, except when it was under restoration.
- Finally found the right flange
- Here we bent the right exhaust manifold

Re: litle by little

Hello Vic,

Looks like a major undertaking – keep on posting more pictures and maintain this quality work and you won’t regret it (maybe only in your wallet)

Regards from the other side of this planet

59 Fury

Look at this beauty!

The description is not quite correct - its a 318 and not a 361.

Re: Distributor

Thanks Dick,

I have a single point Distributor - no idea why - but it came with the engine. Does this have any negative influence for the engine?

Re: Distributor

Good too hear that! I bought my Pertronix Kit about in February 2005. I didn’t have the chance to install it immediately and some month later Ron told me that there was a 361 for sale. At this point it wasn’t worthy anymore to put the Pertronix into the 318 distributor and it’s laying on the shelf –...

No problem Dick!

- here is another little detail that 318 – 361 Converter require. The water outlet of the 318 radiator meets the oil filter.

- I had to move the outlet as far as possible to the edge and the drain cock went to the other side.

The carb # are: 2562 S (front) 2563 S (rear) Dick, this was the best explication I’ve ever heard. No further command! If I would have had the choice, then I would have taken the 1x4bbl, but I simply didn’t. Shipping a manifold to Europe is very expensive. Nevertheless I will adjust the progressive l...
