Re: Ford Yacht Club Car Show, Grosse Ile, MI
Yea, I don't know. I do know the cruise down here has the more"hot" spots where the people gather in greater numbers so cars seem to loop that more. That is enough for me. I bought the car to enjoy, not to get another hobby via joining clubs etc. I have the boat club. That is enough. Cars ...

Ford Yacht Club car Show - South Pointe Grosse Ile, MI, Sept. 16, 2012
Had our 19th annual Past Commodores' Car show this last weekend. Got my 1959 Belvedere in this year. 102_0021.JPG fyc8.JPG fyc5.JPG fyc4.JPG fyc2.JPG 102_0022.JPG fyc1.JPG fyc3.JPG fyc6.JPG fyc7.JPG It was a beautiful day. Had over 220 cars, about 30 motor cycles and 14 old classic boats.

Re: Carlisle 2011!
Wow, I checked out the website. Nice. I don't think I can make it this year seeing the car has sat 30 years and with luck, will be on the road only two weeks about that time. I don't think a 1000 mile roadtrip would be smart. I like the barn find section. I guess that might be me. Have fun all who g...

The are not done equaly on each side. Seems one is froze on each wheel. So, I will take a weekend off from the car and enjo...

Re: Rob's 59 Belvedere
Howdy all. Good evening of work on the Belvedere. The Butler. I think the name is fitting. I got all the new brake lines in and hooked up. I got the rear brakes done. Darn those rusted up adjusters. Took some doin' but they are turning. Now I need rear drums and a good bleeding and the Butler will b...

Re: Rob's 59 Belvedere
Yea, I like that plate also. I have a matching set of Michigan 1959 plates that I will try to get on the car. I have to send in writing the request to Lansing to get them approved. Have to send them photo of plates. Can't do this at local office. Don't understand that. I guess they figure I have to ...

Re: Rear Brake Drums Stuck
Nope, just a traditional puller. That is what I imagined I needed in my dreams last night while I was kicking myself in the you know what. My friend is a MATCO dealer and I can see with them. These drums just colapse under the pull of a normal puller. Thanks for the photo. A question?? After take th...

Re: Rob's 59 Belvedere
Darn rear brake drums frozen on. I collapsed one trying to pull it. I guess a traditional puller is NOT the way to go. Ugg. This was the last of major projects. First real disappointment so far.

Rear Brake Drums Stuck
Ok, I screwed one up already. Put a puller on the drum, heated around the key, banged like hell and the drum just started to collapse. Talking about a bummer. Not to mention expense. Now I am in process of cutting damn thing off with sawzall. Any secrets? They have been on there 30 plus years. I hav...
