Turn signal switch insulator

While removing the turn signal switch in my Sport Fury in order to replace it, the insulator I had to disconnect broke apart and now need to search for a new one. Of course I cannot find anything suitable online, and I am trying to avoid replacing both male/female connectors as it's not easy to get ...

Re: Can only go in reverse, stuck brake cable?

Thank you, Faulkner- I appreciate the help as to what it could be! I'll keep you posted on what I find out when I get a chance to investigate further!

Can only go in reverse, stuck brake cable?

Well, I finally have a major issue on my hands. I was trying to take my car out on Sunday and was able to back out of the spot the car was parked in at home, but as soon as shifted into drive (I have a torqueflite), the front wheels seemed to locked up and the rear wheels just spun in the driveway. ...

Re: My '59 Sport Fury

Turned out to be the rubber boot on the Universal Joint was torn and flapping around. Thanks for the suggestion, Ed!

Re: My '59 Sport Fury

I just had the master cylinder replaced and was hearing a weird sound- a lug nut came completely stripped, fell out and was bouncing around inside the hub cap... and now another noise- sounds like a piece of rubber flapping around but there is nothing hanging down and not a thing under the car or un...

Re: The Rumors of Our Demise are Greatly Exaggerated

Well, it's been quite a whirlwind of a summer for me, sad I had to miss Carlisle! I did just get my brakes redone so at least I will be getting in the last of summer and early fall for cruising! Hope to take Sport out when the leaves change here in Ohio, as long as we don't end up with a rainy fall-...

Re: My '59 Sport Fury

That looks amazing! Love the interior. What happened to your rear bumper guards? Thanks, Matt! That is one mystery I will never know as it appears this bumper never had them. I thought all '59s- regardless of model- had the rear bumper with bumper guards. At least that's what I thought from going t...

My '59 Sport Fury

I got "Sport" running after a year and half of hibernation- just needed a new battery and she fired right up! I hope I can get her ready for the long trip to PA! 8)

Glad you are putting back to the bronze color, that's my favorite along with the emerald green. Are you putting dual rear antennas on it if your plugging the fender hole?

Re: custom license plates

That is pretty awesome, would love to see how they turn out! I guess this is a great option for those states that don't need both front and rear plates. I have a pair of mint condition 1959 Ohio plates on my Sport Fury, but it is registered with an Ohio Historic plate and then linked to an original ...
