Re: Yet Another Barn Find by Jim Rawa
that's the one :D very cool back story on how it came to have 57 Fury trim/parts. I didn't know that haha. I had been talking to the previous owner to see if it had the headliner boards still in it and if they were for sale  But I have since collected two sets altho they are both in rough shape...

Re: VINs and Build Sheets
That is a beautiful color combo! I love those spring special colors. The material is all available from SMS Fabrics. They have all the materials and patterns and can provide you material or the entire finished interior...... BUT!! Be forewarned! They have a LOT of bad reviews, They are notorious for...

Dan, this is the same car I messaged you on Facebook a month or two ago about. It was for sale about 3 hours or so away from you. I'm glad Jim snached it up, its in good hands.

Re: Faulkner gets a Redo
Looks great Dan! like the old saying restoration saying go's " Paint it black and put it back". Nothing like a fresh coat of chassis black to keep the motivation high. Your battery shelf looks to be in great shape. I have had good luck in the past using POR 15 on the base metal with chassi...

Re: Torsion bar suspension
The caps look like repro 57 Dodge 4 bar lancer caps (one of my favorite hub cap designs) so I kinda dig them. Dan....those wheels!!! Blasphemy!!!! Are your trying to start a fight! I will have you know Sir that this is a good clean forum, we will have none of this dirty "painted wheel" tal...

Re: Torsion bar suspension
for a little drop you would probably be ok just using the torsion bars to adjust height, as long as its not drastic (1 inch maybe 1.5) before it really affects the spring rate. This red 59 was listed for sale few months back (with a blown trans if i remember correct) any way it looks low in the fron...

I just slime some on the threads. No need to over do it but enough to ensure a good seal in the threads. My hands are itching, its been MONTHS since I have gotten to work on a car but at least I can live vicariously through you and Faulkner

I wonder as well. Not a lot of convertibles left out there in the world. Hopefully this one is still around.

Re: Torsion bar suspension
One other upgrade I am looking at, is dropped spindles. Fury Jim has a really good photo album on his Facebook showing that spindles from later transverse T-bar cars ( F,M,J body cars) 76-late 80's Aspens, Cordoba's and 5th Avenues will work to put disk brakes on a 59 Plymouth. I pulled a set off a ...

Re: Torsion bar suspension
So I have been wondering this same thing, how to improve handling. I did a lot of parts book research and found out the all 59 Plymouth's with factory V8 came with "HD" torsion bars. The flat head six's came with standard bars. I have also been searching high and low for a factory front sw...
