Re: A couple of questions ...

Wow... that is the first time I saw the video of the Maywood CA Plymouth Plant. That is wonderful historical film footage and I enjoyed seeing it. As far as Matthew doing a better job on the IBM card than the Chrysler people on decoding the IBM card, Matthew is right. He can do a better job on it th...

Re: Getting a start on the convertible project

Wow... that is talented and dedicated work. Looking at what you have to work with and what you have achieved is amazing. Good luck with the upholstery work. Not sure what you are using for fabric. I have used a shop with an experienced upholsterer who has done this kind of work with outstanding resu...

Re: A couple of questions ...

Hello Matthew, Thanks for the reply. I joined this site July 19 and I own a 1959 Plymouth Sport Fury. I will find the time to write a paragraph about the car and introduced myself on the Introduce Yourself topic thread. As usual, I was too busy to take the time. I can get you the info for your list ...

Re: A couple of questions ...

Andy,

The Chrysler Historical Society will have the IBM card build sheets and information about your car.

Here is the link: http://www.chryslergroupllc.com/company ... cords.aspx

Good luck.

Re: A couple of questions ...

John, Thanks for info and the advice. How often does Mattthew update his list and how does he get the updates? Certainly many 1959 Plymouths have changed owners in any given year, including mine. I assume that this list is not public and therefore is something that this site does just for Plymouth g...

Re: A couple of questions ...

Me too. That is always a curiosity, but sometimes impossible to solve. While I have been interested in cars for 40 years (mostly Pontiacs), I am new here and still learning about 1959 Plymouths. I would guess that if you have the VIN number and a copy of the Chrysler IBM card from the Chrysler. Chry...

The car looks fabulous. There are very few convertibles and very few white convertibles. Enjoy the car on your trip!

Re: 59 Fury 2dr. HT FS in Montana

Looks like a very solid car that has never been molested.

It will be interesting to see if it sells at that price with a minimum reserve.

Re: Jadderbeast striking the pose

That 1959 Plymouth Savoy in the YouTube videeo is a nice unrestored survivor and with a little work this car would make a great Cruise night car and driver.

Re: Norwich Connecticut COC Auto Show 2014

This black Cadillac convertible was once owned by the famous singer Sergio Franchi who performed with Joan Rivers at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas in the 1970s. Sergio Franchi's passion was collecting and restoring classic and antique automobiles. He was a long-time member of the Classic Car Club...

Looks better than factory. The convertible top and frame looks great.

Your upholstery shop does nice work. I am picky on upholstery and this looks really good.

Good luck with the side window alignment.

A 59 Sport Fury mini trailer .... complete .... even comes with a toilet seat.

This is what every 59 Plymouth owner should have in their garage.

Norwich Connecticut COC Auto Show 2014

I spent the day at the 2014 Norwich COC Auto Show in eastern Connecticut. The show is located at a Double A Minor League baseball stadium. If you really know me, you know that am really not a Car Show guy. I am most comfortable at a cruise ... so I really am a Car Cruise guy. Yesterday I was the DJ ...
