Re: mysterious wire in water jacket
Yes, in the lost sand process of casting, there would be use of wired to knock out any pockets of casting sand that did not pop or shaken out after casting. Ron, I was wrong you are not navigationally challenged... That had crossed my mind to do that. But I have my Dad to fly out to Michigan for the wedding and a long ride in my Ram Pickup with car trailer would not sit well with him. I have to come up with another way to get it out there, I figured we ...

Re: parts for 59 Suburban
Dick, just to clarify, do you need the round knurled screw on bezel knob that would attach thru the flat Heater bezel piece as shown in this picture?

Re: Cuba Field Trip!
We had the same cartoon in our Denver paper. The artist must like 59's Plymouths as he drew all the correct details (other then the cinder blocks the car is on)
I think we need a barge to bring back all those 50's cars from Cuba!

Re: parts for 59 Suburban
I will check my part stash to see what parts I may have, the round bezel knob may be the only thing I have extra. The dash pad you can get brand new as it is made by a company called Just Dashes in Van Nuys, CA.
Costs about$600 but it is brand new and will last another 50 years!
