Re: It's been seven great years...
"My hope is that this website, this forum, and this mailing list will foster interest in the 1959 Plymouth, the crown jewel in the Chrysler lineup, at the pinnacle of Virgil Exner's career." Dan and All - I think Your Hopes were realized and then exceeded by all the great Guys and Girls t...

Re: Tires and Wheels Oh my! what type to use?
John Q., For my car, I am sure that I went with the 215/75R14 tires because they were just a little taller/more tread width etc. For your car, I would think the 225/75R14 would be the best bet because you want to pull an Airstream at some point. Check out the differences and you will see the Tread w...

Re: Tires and Wheels Oh my! what type to use?
John Q., I meant to respond before now but forgot. My avtar has the Coker Modern wide white radial shown on the car. I loved these tires as well. Great performance and ride. These were great when crossing the Chesapeake Bay Bridge where there are grates that bias tires made you squeeze your cheeks a...

Re: CLEMATIC BY NIGHT.
Dick, At least us Northern and Western members can tell it was not a perfectly sunny and warm Florida day - Jackets and wind and some cloudy skies. But at least you had your yacht and your land yacht to take cover in if things turned wet! Thanks for the education on Flagler. His influence stretches ...

Re: Family with Mopar for blood.
Ken and Family, welcome aboard to the 59 forum. I think it is great to have family rebuilding Mopars! There will be many happy people on this forum hearing about a Belvedere convertible!!! (Dick and John Q come to mind). I can tell you that many people are looking for a front valance. Do any of your...

Re: 1959 Plymouth 2 door Sedan Savoy-Florida
John Q., I have heard of a twenty-footer but these pictures are Fifty-Footers! You would think he would show the interior if it was completed recently? Still a good car for Dick's Salvage Yard since it appears he is competing with Big M!!! Just Kidding  Six inches of fresh snow in Ellicott Ci...

Re: Nat. Geo Channel on Dodge factory
You are speaking of Desert Car Kings , on Discovery Channel, featuring DVAP in at least one episode (maybe all?). It's along the lines of Pawn Stars and all those copycat shows. I haven't watched it. The show has been discussed on FL site. You are right Roger. Did your source have the times that it...

Re: Nat. Geo Channel on Dodge factory
Roger and John, I felt the same way - although I thought it was far below the videography of Pawn Stars (I am a Big Fan of American Pickers and Pawn Stars along with Storage Wars). The DVAP show was doe with far less $$$s than the others mentioned above. It seems to me I bought some parts from DVAP ...

Re: Nat. Geo Channel on Dodge factory
Roger, I missed it as well. It sounds like a really neat show. However I did catch a late-night show all about Desert Valley Auto Parts - Did anyone see that show? They restored about a 1965 T-bird and got skunked - too much $$$ into the restoration - car sold for about $1500 less I believe? Does an...

Re: Classic car insurance
I use my everyday provider (State Farm) because I have been with them since 1979 and know if I ever needed them they would be there for me. I also reduce the insurance during non-use months (Just comprehensive) so the yearly price becomes about the same price as Grundy, Haggerty and others. I have s...

Welcome Jack, We hope to hear more about your car. I am guessing you are a Northeastern resident? If you need parts or advice you have come to the right place! Bring on the pictures. There are several others on this forum restoring convertibles, I am sure they would also be interested in your restor...

Ed and Ruth,
I hope you both feel better soon. If you must be sick and recovering from surgery - it might as well be in the Winter when the weather puts a damper on all the other hobbies we enjoy.

I bought them @ Restoration Supply (PA) for Stefan in Norway.
You should find a posting here somewhere regarding the clips.

Re: Two 59 Plymouth's For sale in Pkgd deal Maryland
John, Now I know the rest of the story! Was the spyder wheel OE for any car manufacturer? She was sure she had the valuable discontinued mopar wheels on her car. Thanks, Curt Off Topic, I saw a note on mini-chat that said you can talk (video-chat) for free on Skype. I need to register on Skype, but ...

Re: Two 59 Plymouth's For sale in Pkgd deal Maryland
Well the phone numbers google as Hillsboro VA - about 20 miles from Maryland. I saw the red car about 15 years ago on the same day and same parking as when my avatar was snapped in Ocean City Maryland. It had a girl driver who was talking about her recalled wheels from Chrysler and how special it ma...
